Four stories wrapped in one fable: a comedy in mime and words for eight animals and one queen comes to Limassol on Sunday and is set to entertain families, elders and everyone in between.
This multi-awarded performance from Israel has travelled all over the world and has been described as “a virtuous combination of words in English and Greek, with movement and drama that captivates all”.
Written, directed and performed by award-winning actress Ruti Tamir, she invites everyone to be part of the experience she’s presenting. Ruti plays nine different characters, “some are not human, some not very smart, but they are all flesh and blood, and they all have a heart”.
The play sounds to be loaded with imagination and childish play that, let’s face it, everyone could do with some more of. Four fables and a Queen takes place in Animal Court in the forest. Animals appear before the Queen Judge who is busy, too busy, looking for her lost reflection in the mirror. What this means exactly is unclear but it sounds appealing and fun even for adults. Sometimes innocent children’s plays with hidden messages and jokes are all the reminder needed.
The performance of the play is co-organised by the Embassy of Israel in Cyprus and in collaboration with Masterland.
