The Karaiskakio Foundation will run a charity event at the presidential palace in Nicosia on Monday which will present talks about how children and women can be respected in our society.
The purpose of the event, which is under the aspices of first lady Andri Anastasiades, is to support the Karaiskakio Foundation’s goal to create a research and diagnostic centre for paediatric oncology.
Under the title Respect…Children…Women… Time, two doctors, obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Andreas Stavroulis (who will talk about women) and special medical pathologist from the American Medical Centre Dr George Astras (who will cover how we can respect time) will talk about medical factors linked to women. The third speaker will be Anastasia Papadopoulou, who is the president of the newly established council called Foni which gives a voice to children that have been sexually abused.
The evening will be presented by Christiana Aristotelous and Michalis Tserkezos will play electric violin. There will also be a cocktail, over which you can mingle and learn more about the issues at hand.
